API credentials are created by users to gain access to the platform’s APIs. For more information about APIs, see API documentation.
Looking to update or delete existing API credentials or tokens? See Managing your API credentials.
Step 1: Navigate to Automation & Reporting > Automation > API.
Step 2: On the API page, click Create Credentials.
Step 3: In the Create Credentials pop-up, enter the following details:
- API Credential Type: Select the type of API credential you wish to create.
- Name (optional): Include a name for the API credential.
- Description (optional): Include a description for the API credential.
Step 4: Click Create & View Credentials.
Step 5: The Create Credentials pop-up is updated based on the API credential type you selected.
- If you selected Permanent Access Token, a new Access Token is displayed. Copy the token as needed.
- If you selected Client Credentials (OAuth 2), a new Client ID and Client Secret is displayed. Copy as needed.
Step 6: Click Close.
The list of API Credentials on the API page is updated to include the new API Credentials.
