Scheduling trading partner actions can be extremely useful for retailers. It allows you to plan for the future and efficiently start or pause trading with one, a few, or many suppliers all at once. The platform provides options for you to:

You can only schedule and update scheduled actions for suppliers who have an Active or Paused connection.

Scheduling and updating actions in the web application

Step 1: Click the navigation menu and select Partners > Trading Partners. The Trading Partners page is displayed.

Step 2: Click the three-dot options menu for a specific supplier and choose one of the following options:

  • To schedule a new action, select Create Schedule Action.
  • To update an existing action, select Edit Schedule Action.

Step 3: In the Schedule Action window, click the calendar icon to adjust the Date of when the action should start and/or enter or adjust the Reason for the action. Click Schedule.

A confirmation pop-up appears at the top of the page.

Scheduling and updating actions in bulk

To schedule and/or update actions in bulk, you’ll need to download the template, enter and/or update the actions, and then upload the file to the platform.

Here are some guidelines on how to format the template:

  • The template and upload process are case-sensitive. For example, if you type “Play” or “Pause” instead of “play” or “pause,” the upload process will fail.
  • You are required to provide the following fields:
    • dsco_account_id or dsco_trading_partner_id    
    • scheduled_action_date. Dates must use the YYYY-MM-DD format. If you are using today’s date, the scheduled action will be completed at the top of the hour.

Step 1: Click the navigation menu and select Partners > Trading Partners. The Trading Partners page is displayed.

Step 2: Click the Actions button and select View Scheduled Actions. The Scheduled Actions page is displayed.

Step 3: To schedule new or update existing actions, click Upload Scheduled Actions. The Upload Scheduled Actions page is displayed.

Step 4: Click Download Template. This is the Excel template that you will fill out and use to upload actions.

Step 5: Open the newly-downloaded file and add/make your changes. When finished, save the file.

Step 6: Return to the Upload Scheduled Actions page and click Choose File. Follow the instructions to upload the file from Step 5.

Step 7: On the Upload Scheduled Actions page, click Upload. The bottom of the pages refreshes with a list of actions that were successfully scheduled. If a line did not upload successfully, make sure you completed the Excel file correctly.

Step 8: Click View Scheduled Actions to view a list of your scheduled actions, including the actions you just uploaded.
