In an effort to upgrade our API’s functionality and security, we are notifying you of changes taking place regarding WAF and TLS. Please read the following:

WAF Implementation

Starting at the end of Q3, Dsco will turn off all support for Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.1 and require all API users to support TLS 1.2 or later. Anyone attempting to connect using TLS 1.1 will not be able to reach the Dsco API.

Please take action to upgrade your TLS version as soon as possible. If you are already using TLS 1.2 or later, no further action is required.

TLS 1.1 Expiration

At the end of Q3, Dsco will turn on a Web Application Firewall (WAF) feature for all V2 API users. This change will enhance the security of the Dsco application and help prevent malicious traffic from reaching the site.

A side effect of this enhancement will be that the V2 API IP addresses will no longer be static, potentially changing at any moment. This means that any organizations that are whitelisting outbound IP addresses will no longer be able to.

For questions, please reach Dsco support by emailing and using the words “API Update” in the subject line.
