Most suppliers have several different warehouses that they use to store their products. The Dsco platform allows suppliers to add warehouse information to products and provide an address for each warehouse. Although warehouse information is not required by the Dsco platform, some of your retailers may request that you include warehouse information when you upload your items.
If your retailer sets up their Service Level Agreement (SLA) rules, you and your retailer will be able to see when a fulfillment deadline is approaching or when a deadline has been missed. To help make sure you meet your retailer's expectations and aren't measured against days you're not open or processing orders, we encourage you to set up your calendar and add holidays, weekends, timezone, and a "cut off" time for each of your warehouses to ensure the compliance information is accurately reflecting when your warehouse is open.
For more information about timezones and the operating calendar as it impacts performance monitoring, see Getting started with performance monitoring in Dsco.
The Dsco Warehouse Manager
The address for each warehouse can either be defined at the same time inventory is created or after warehouses have already been assigned to products. Follow the steps below to add warehouse addresses to your Dsco account:
Instead of reading this documentation article, if you'd prefer to see a walkthrough directly in the Dsco portal on how to add warehouse information then click this link: Adding Warehouses
Step 1: Click the navigation menu and select Settings > Warehouse Manager.
Step 2: If you included warehouse information when you created or updated your inventory, then you will see the warehouses automatically listed on the next page. You can edit any existing warehouse using the gear icon, or add a new warehouse by clicking the ADD WAREHOUSE button.
Step 3: Fill in the required information to add/update the address for the warehouse.
Code: The code you use to reference the warehouse. This should be your own unique supplier warehouse code.
Address: The address of the warehouse.
City: City in which the warehouse is located.
Latitude and Longitude: Exact latitude and longitude of the warehouse. This is not required information and can be excluded if unknown.
Name: The name you use to identify the warehouse.
Postal Code: Postal (or zip) code where the warehouse is located.
Country: Country where the warehouse is located.
State/Region: The state or region where the warehouse is located.
Label File Type: The type of shipping label to be used for this warehouse, if your retailer uses shipping labels with Dsco.
Notes: Any additional notes you would like to store for your reference regarding this warehouse. This is for your reference only.

Step 4: Fill in the information on when this warehouse is not open or processing orders (optional). There is no guarantee that a retailer will review the calendar, so suppliers should also notify their retailers of closures and non-business days. Note also that if a retailer uses Dynamic SLAs, the supplier calendar may affect supplier SLA exceptions.
Click EDIT WAREHOUSE CALENDAR.
- To specify days of the week the warehouse is closed, click ADD A DAY.
- To specify which holidays the warehouse is closed, click ADD A HOLIDAY.
- To set a timezone for this warehouse, use the drop-down menu to select one of the available options.
- To set a cut-off time on when the warehouse closes or stops processing orders every day, use the drop-down to select one of the available options.
Click SAVE in the Warehouse Calendar pop-up.

Step 5: When you're finished, click Save.
You will see an assigned Dsco Warehouse ID number for each warehouse. This is used internally for the Dsco platform to map your warehouse code to your retailer’s chosen warehouse code.
Looking to the future, the Dsco platform will soon be able to use these warehouse addresses to automatically choose/recommend the best shipping carrier and method any time an order is received. Of course, retailers may still request specific methods and you can still ship the package as you see fit, but we'll provide recommended options based on the customer's location and requested delivery date.
