Audience: Suppliers

If your retailer trading partner has enabled you to use Promotions, you can use promotions to schedule discounts for a given time period for the items you sell. Be aware that your retailer may choose to review and approve your promotions before they are available to customers

  • For suppliers participating in a retailer’s Drop-ship program, your promotional discounts must be applied per item (where a discount is applied for each item).
  • For suppliers participating in a retailer’s Private Marketplace program, your promotional discounts can be applied per item (where a discount is applied for each item) or at a bulk discount (where the same percentage discount or fixed amount discount is applied for all items in the assortment).

Note: Not every retail trading partner participates in Private Marketplace, which is different from the drop-ship program.

Step 1: Click the navigation menu and select Workflows > Promotions.

Step 2: On the Promotions page, a list of your promotions is displayed. Click Create Promotion at the top of the page.

Tip: Use the Status column to see which promotions are active, in draft, expired, cancelled, or awaiting review.

Step 3: On the Create Promotion page, enter the following details:

Enter promotion details

a. In the Details section, enter the Name for this promotion.
b. Select Start and End dates.
c. Use the drop-down menu to select a retailer this promotion can be applied to. You can only select one retailer per promotion.

  • For suppliers participating in a retailer’s Private Marketplace program, select either Per item (where a discount is applied for each item) or Bulk discount (where the same percentage discount or fixed amount discount is applied for all items in the assortment).
