Dsco Portal - Manual - One-at-a-time

First, the Dsco portal allows you to manually handle your various tasks through the use of your favorite browser. Simply log into the Dsco portal (https://app.dsco.io) using your username and password, then you can easily create new orders. The Dsco portal is perfect for those who process only a few orders at a time.

Dsco Portal - Manual - Batch Upload/Download

The Dsco portal is also perfect for those who do not have full automation capabilities but wish to work with multiple batches of information at a time. Upload and Download buttons are available throughout the portal, allowing you to upload orders or download shipping updates, inventory updates or invoices through the use of XLS, CSV, or TAB delimited files.

Dsco Portal - Manual - Batch Upload/Download with the Dsco Data Mapper

The Dsco Portal is a great option for retailers who already provide their suppliers with a CSV or TAB delimited file. The Dsco Data Mapper tool walks you through the process of mapping your data to the Dsco specifications so that you don’t have to build a custom file on your end. Once the mapping has been completed, you can upload or download your file through the Dsco portal and we will accept or provide a file in your format.

For convenience in exchanging files, Dsco provides every account with its own FTP account, which can be used with the data mapper tool and the flat-file exchange system.

Dsco Automated Flat-File Exchange

The Dsco platform supports flat-file exchange using a variety of flat-file formats including: CSV, TAB, PIPE, and even XLS. Our automated system also supports exchange of files in your own format by way of our Data Mapper. Using the portal, you can set up your mapping and schedule a job that runs at the times you specify. 

If you don’t have your own formats to work with, you can always use the Dsco data specification. Simply refer to the Dsco Data Schema guide to build a file that matches our specifications and set up an automated job within the portal to schedule the processing of the files at the appropriate times.

You can also manually run any automated job, at any time, using the Upload File option.

Dsco API

The Dsco API allows retailers to do all the things that can be done through the portal, i.e. upload new orders, download invoices, etc. This option is reserved for retailers that have their own programming staff who are experienced with REST APIs. This is a very advanced and technical option, as your programmers will need to create custom scripts that interact with the Dsco platform in a programmatic way.

Dsco EDI

Dsco supports the exchange of EDI documents over SFTP/FTP and AS2 for the following document types:

846 Inventory

850 Purchase Order

855 Purchase Order Acknowledgement

856 Ship Notice 

870 Purchase Order Status (Cancellation)

810 Invoice

Dsco provides every account on our platform with its own SFTP/FTP account which can be used to exchange EDI documents.
