Connecting with trading partners on Dsco is very easy. The Dsco application includes an invitation feature that allows you to send invite emails to each of your trading partners. The invite emails will help each trading partner create their own Dsco account, if they don't already have one, and then connect with you. 

Sending the Invitation

Follow these steps to invite your trading partners to Dsco:

Step 1: After you have logged into your account, click the Navigation icon and select the TRADING PARTNERS. Next click TRADING PARTNERS and select CONNECT from the sub-menu.

Step 2: Search for your trading partner using the Company Name and Contact Email fields. Then click the SEARCH button. The contact email of the trading partner is the most important part of the search. 

Step 3: Based on the search, if Dsco is able to locate a matching trading partner with an active Dsco account, then the account will be returned in the search. You can choose to connect with that account right away by selecting the Connect button. 

Step 4: If Dsco is unable to locate a matching account then we'll simply request that you provide a little more information (Contact Name and Contact Phone). One you've filled out that information, select the Send an Invite button to send an invitation to that trading partner to connect on Dsco. 

Step 5: After clicking the Send an Invite button, you'll be returned to the main TRADING PARTNERS page with a message noting that your invitation has been sent.

Step 6: Your trading partner will receive an email similar to the email below. Your trading partner simply needs to follow the instructions in the email and click the link to get started connecting with you on Dsco.

Checking the Invitation Status

Sometimes your trading partners may not see the invitation email or simply forget to follow the instructions. To quickly check the status of an invitation, just head to the PENDING page.

From the PENDING page, you can take several actions to monitor each invitation:

  1. You can check the status of the invitation from the Status column. Sent means that the invitation has been sent, but not opened. Clicked means that the link in the invitation email has been clicked by the recipient. 
  2. You can resend the invitation email using the Resend the Invitation button under Actions on the right side of the page.
  3. You can delete the pending invitation using the Delete Invite button under Actions on the right side of the page.

NOTE: Using the Delete Invite button doesn't actually delete the sent email, but simply removes the invite from the list of pending invitations.
