Audience: Suppliers

When you upload products using advanced catalog services, Rithum reviews your product data for two requirements:

  • Rithum’s minimum system requirements. For example, all SKU values must be less than 64 characters. See the Data Schema for more information about minimum system requirements and how to troubleshoot common errors.
  • Your retailer’s catalog requirements. For example, the GTIN must be 13 digits, or the Style Number must not contain special characters.

Rithum provides multiple ways for you to view your catalog exceptions:

Note: Not every retail trading partner uses advanced catalog services, which is different from the basic Catalog templates that are used to provide item/product data to your retail partner. For more information about uploading basic Catalog/Inventory templates using the Inventory page, see Creating or Updating Inventory.

Viewing item-level catalog exceptions

The Products page provides visibility to exceptions for each of your items.

Tip: To view item-level catalog exceptions, the Compliance column must be displayed on the Products page. Click the three-dot options menu and select Compliance from the list.

Step 1: Click the navigation menu and select Workflows > Products. The Products page is displayed with a list of items across multiple categories.

Step 2: In the Compliance column, click the down arrow to expand the listing, click the desired retailer (if necessary), then click the number of exceptions. The Exceptions Summary window is displayed.

Note: If the supplier has connections with multiple retailers, each retailer’s exceptions are shown separately on the Products page.

Step 3: View the list of errors that must be resolved for the item to be compliant. To download the exceptions for this item as well as exceptions for this category, click Download Category Exceptions

Step 4: Follow the instructions to save or open the file. The spreadsheet highlights the non-compliant attributes for each item.

For more information about common errors and how to resolve them, see Troubleshooting common errors: advanced catalog services.

Step 5: To resolve the item exceptions, update the item from the spreadsheet and re-upload the spreadsheet to the corresponding category. For more information, see Editing your products.

When resolved, your item will be updated to be 100% compliant on the Products page.
